iFutures - Mobile Commodities Tracking App Reviews

This is a very good app. It provides a lot of info very quickly on an iPhone 3G. To have this information available in seconds on your iPhone is a dream come true. I gave it 4 stars because I had a little difficulty getting some futures months to change but I think it was more my fault than the app. The other reason is I am very reluctant to give 5 stars but this one could make it in the next upgrade.

Just the app I was looking for! I hope the new version includes a historical graphing.

This is the only app Ive ever regreted buying from the app store. The crude oil futures are rarely updated

This app needs some work. It keeps closing itself. Charts limited to 1 & 5 day. Has potential but needs improving.

Worst app ive ever used i wish you could get refunds for crap like this it Keeps kicking you out when trying to look at charts in landscape but works in portrait futures are barely updated Im only giving it one star because I have to

Faster updates from AM radio. I want my money back.

I bought this app to track aluminum the day I bought it the description included aluminum (web page still does) I was disappointed it didnt track alum. I emailed the developer and they never responded but within 8 hours had taken aluminum off the description. still wont respond to my request for refunds. Ive since found free apps that have a lot more to offer. Shop wisely avoid the disappointment here

Chats  It would be helpful to have more interactive charts, e.g. like in the native stocks app. Tick-by-tick, hour, day, week data. Yes, there are bugs in this app. But chats is am IMPORTANT FEATURE that a lot of users are missing. We need CHARTS

Great app, but since the newest patch it crashes every time I open it, after a few seconds. Please fix!

Well i downloaded the new update, but it crashes EVERY time!! Please get this fixed!! *****If you trade commodities, you must get this app. Im on the go all day, with iFutures I can quickly check my positions. I use Bloomberg for stocks & info, but its a joke on commodity pricing & no charts. I have made over $10k in profits (up 44%) since downloading this app 40 days ago. Great job!!!

Its ok. I would like to see open and closing price as well as highs a lows of the day.

For weeks I have pleaded with the developer to fix the decimal points on fx futures. For example, Yen futures shows no change because of the decimal position. I would have thought it an easy fix, but Todd, the developer, is clueless to what I was trying to explain. Maybe he doesnt underatand futures at all because I sent at least 4 emails regarding the problem. He seems like a nice guy and I hate to be negative, but his response was that no one else has complained so he wouldnt fix it. Hopefully he will now get the message and improve the app, which otherwise is a great product.

I had the problem of the app crashing after the last update and I wrote support and they responded quickly and suggested I delete and reload the app and it works fine now. Very easy to use and gives me all the info I was looking for

Seems to be a fine app. It could use units on some items, (i.e. per 100 wt. on the cattle.) Not all of us are futures nerds. I had a question that was answered the same day I asked. It will take some getting used to. The exchange would be nice to see on some things. I havent figured out yet how accurate the oil and gold spots are, but that will give me another excuse to use this app. That is all for now. Thanx

Unhappy to see lack of charts. Sorry that I bought this as similar uinfo is avail free with Bloomberg download. I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA BE ABLE TO GET CHARTS OF VARIOS TERMS. A WASTE OF MONEY ON THIS APP!

Being a member of a major commodity exchange for over 25 years I know a thing or two about data. One thing is for sure, I would NEVER rely on Yahoo for my data. They may do somethings great but commodity data is not one of them. I have corresponded with Todd,the developer of this app, multiple times about the need for cleaner data to no avail. As another reviewer noted the currency decimals are off, the bonds and notes are cash quotes, the dollar index doesnt even update etc etc. Its a shame because the app has great potential. It does many things very well and with the addition of user defined charts it would be a homerun. However DATA is the key to it all.(GIGO). I have recomended alternative data providers to no avail, so far. I would certainly pay more for an app that can provide me with clean , usable data. All the major exchanges provide their delayed data for free or a small nominal fee. Its just a matter of doing your homework to find a secondary provider that does the job well, yahoo is not one of them. I hope All those who understand what Im talking about keep the pressure on the developers to address this major issue.

Use it every day to keep up with futures positions, and developer is responsive to suggestions, including adding new contracts. Would like to see the treasury note series 2 to 30 years.

Not being smart enough to run the app is no fault of the designer , sorry guys . I requested some help and within one day I had an answer,now that I understand how to track the current price as well as futures I love it .

Basically says it all ... every chart that I request comes up "Chart Not Available" worse then that is the fact that I trade Eurodollar contracts and when I try to access the futures chain of contracts I get all the contracts for Palladium and when I try for the 2 year chain I get the Silver. I dont need a heavy dose of qoutes just access.
